By accessing or using the Website, submitting a form, joining an alert list, downloading a tool, reporting a clinic update, or requesting free support, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website or Services.

In these Terms, “Find A Doctor Canada,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Find A Doctor Canada, an independent Canadian information and navigation resource operating the Website at https://findadoctorcanada.ca. “You” or “user” means any person who accesses or uses the Website or Services.

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and the feature-specific consent notices and disclaimers shown on the Website. FADC does not charge clients to use its directory, tools or navigation support.

2. Who We Are and What We Are Not

Find A Doctor Canada is an independent information and navigation resource designed to help users understand public and publicly available information about clinics, providers, waitlists, health resources, doctor-search steps, and related healthcare navigation options in Canada.

Find A Doctor Canada is not a medical clinic, physician office, nurse practitioner clinic, hospital, health authority, government agency, regulator, insurer, emergency service, telemedicine platform, health advice line, or medical referral service.

We do not employ, supervise, credential, verify, recommend, endorse, control, or guarantee any doctor, nurse practitioner, clinic, provider, health authority, hospital, directory, booking platform, or third-party resource listed or referenced on the Website.

Any reference to a clinic, provider, province, health authority, service category, care type, specialty, waitlist, or public resource is provided for information and navigation purposes only and does not mean that we have a partnership, endorsement, approval, agency relationship, or affiliation with that third party.

3. No Medical Advice, No Triage, and No Patient-Provider Relationship

The Website and Services are for general informational, organizational, and navigation purposes only. They do not provide medical advice, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, triage, prescriptions, referrals, medical opinions, or emergency support.

Do not ignore, delay, or avoid seeking professional medical advice or emergency care because of anything you read or receive through the Website or Services.

If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

If you have urgent non-emergency health questions, contact a qualified healthcare professional, clinic, pharmacist, provincial or territorial health advice line such as 811 where available, or another appropriate local resource.

We do not decide whether you need a family doctor, pediatrician, specialist, urgent care, emergency care, medication, testing, a referral, or treatment.

Using the Website, submitting a form, receiving an email, using an AI or automated tool, or requesting free navigation support does not create a doctor-patient, nurse-patient, therapist-patient, fiduciary, advisory, agency, or professional relationship with Find A Doctor Canada.

4. Eligibility and Use by Minors

The Website is intended for use by adults in Canada or by adults assisting family members or people in their care. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you may use the Website only with involvement and permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you use the Website or Services on behalf of another person, including a child, senior, family member, dependent, client, or person in your care, you represent that you have authority or permission to do so and that you will not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information or personal health information about that person.

5. Directory Listings, Clinic Data, and Availability Information

The Website may display clinic listings, provider categories, care-type tags, specialty tags, status labels, addresses, phone numbers, websites, waitlist links, source URLs, last-checked dates, confidence indicators, notes, and user-reported updates.

Healthcare availability changes frequently. Clinics and providers may change their accepting-patient status, hours, phone number, location, waitlist, eligibility rules, services, fees, website, booking process, or contact instructions without notice.

You understand and agree that:

• Directory information may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, duplicated, temporarily unavailable, scraped from public sources, reported by users, or based on third-party information.
• A status label such as “Accepting New Patients,” “Waitlist Available,” “Call to Confirm,” “Not Accepting,” “Unknown,” “Recently Updated,” or similar wording is an informational estimate only and is not a guarantee.
• A care-type or specialty tag, including “Family Doctor,” “Pediatrician,” “Children’s Health,” “Women’s Health,” “Virtual Care,” “Nurse Practitioner,” or similar wording, is based on available source information and may not reflect full eligibility, scope, availability, or current services.
• A last-checked date or confidence indicator means only that information was reviewed or categorized at a certain time using the available information. It does not mean the information remains current.
• You are responsible for contacting the clinic, provider, health authority, or official resource directly to confirm availability, eligibility, services, costs, appointment requirements, location, language, accessibility, and suitability before relying on the information.

We may add, edit, remove, reorganize, merge, label, or decline to publish listings or updates at our discretion. We are not required to list any clinic, provider, organization, or resource.

6. No Guarantee of Doctor, Clinic, Waitlist, Appointment, or Outcome

Find A Doctor Canada does not guarantee that you will find a family doctor, nurse practitioner, pediatrician, specialist, clinic, appointment, waitlist, referral, health service, or specific result through the Website or Services.

Provider and clinic availability is outside our control. Clinics and providers make their own decisions about whether to accept new patients, maintain waitlists, respond to inquiries, require forms, provide services, charge fees, or change their procedures.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to contact, use, book with, or rely on any clinic, provider, service, website, health authority, or third-party resource.

7. Third-Party Websites, Tools, Maps, and Resources

The Website may link to clinic websites, government websites, health authority websites, third-party directories, maps, forms, booking platforms, virtual care providers, pharmacies, community resources, settlement services, or other third-party websites and tools.

Third-party websites and services are not controlled by Find A Doctor Canada. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, availability, fees, policies, eligibility rules, booking systems, service quality, or outcomes.

Your use of third-party websites or services is at your own risk and may be governed by their own terms, policies, privacy notices, consent forms, and payment rules.

8. User Reports, Clinic Updates, and Community Submissions

The Website may allow users to submit updates or information through features such as “I Called This Clinic,” “Report Update,” “Clinic Info Wrong?,” “Join Alerts,” contact forms, comments, emails, or similar features.

By submitting information, you represent and warrant that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to provide it, and that your submission does not violate any law or third-party rights.

You agree not to submit:

• false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, unlawful, malicious, or spam content;
• private or confidential information about another person without permission;
• personal medical details, diagnosis information, treatment details, health card numbers, insurance numbers, full dates of birth, social insurance numbers, financial account details, or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it for a clearly stated purpose;
• content that impersonates another person or misrepresents your relationship with a clinic, provider, government body, or organization;
• content that includes malware, tracking code, automated submissions, scraping attempts, or attempts to compromise the Website.

We may review, verify, edit, summarize, reject, remove, or publish user-submitted information at our discretion. Submission of information does not guarantee that a listing will be changed, published, or investigated.

You grant Find A Doctor Canada a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, store, analyze, and distribute your submission for the purpose of operating, improving, verifying, and displaying Website content and Services, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

The permission above to publish user-submitted website content does not authorize publication of private Get Help chats, email addresses, support emails or staff notes. Private support information is handled as described in our የግላዊነት ፖሊሲ.

9. Email Alerts, Newsletters, and Electronic Communications

If you sign up for doctor availability alerts, waitlist alerts, newsletters, resource updates, support acknowledgements, or similar communications, you agree to receive electronic communications from Find A Doctor Canada related to your selected province, city, care type, specialty tags, Website activity, support requests, or updates.

Where required, we will seek your consent before sending commercial electronic messages. We will identify ourselves in our communications and provide an unsubscribe mechanism for marketing or alert emails where required by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing or alert emails using the unsubscribe link or instructions in the message. Some administrative or transactional messages may still be sent where necessary, such as support acknowledgements, security notices, service updates, responses to your inquiries, or legal notices.

Alerts are not real-time medical notices, emergency alerts, guaranteed availability notices, or official clinic communications. An alert may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, filtered, blocked, sent to spam, or based on information that changes after the alert is sent. You must confirm availability directly with the clinic or official source.

10. Free Tools, Guides, Downloads, and Templates

The Website may provide free tools, guides, scripts, clinic call trackers, decision guides, templates, checklists, worksheets, email drafts, letters, and downloadable resources.

These resources are for general navigation, education, and organization only. You are responsible for reviewing, adapting, and verifying any script, checklist, form, email, letter, or template before using it.

We do not guarantee that a clinic, provider, agency, government body, school, employer, insurer, or other organization will accept, respond to, or act on any script, template, form, checklist, or letter.

11. Free Get Help chat and navigation support

Get Help provides free navigation information through our team. FADC does not charge clients for this support. No payment, purchase or appointment is required.

An email address is required before your first message, whether staff are online or offline, so we can reply if the connection is lost or further information is needed. Use an address you control and check it for mistakes. Support email is separate from newsletter or alert subscriptions.

Online availability means you may request a conversation; it does not promise immediate acceptance, a response time or continuous staffing. The interface shows when a human actually joins. If staff are offline, messages are saved for review and follow-up. A sent-message acknowledgement confirms receipt, not clinical review or that a doctor, appointment or referral has been arranged.

Our team provides general navigation information only. Chat does not establish a patient-provider relationship, provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or triage, or guarantee clinic acceptance or access to care. Confirm important information with the clinic or official resource. Do not use chat for an emergency or wait for a chat reply before seeking emergency assistance.

Do not send health-card numbers, diagnoses, medication details, medical histories, financial information or private information about another person without appropriate authority. We may decline requests outside our scope or restrict abusive or fraudulent use.

Our directory, public tools and client navigation support are free to use.

12. No client charges

Find A Doctor Canada does not charge clients for using its public directory, tools or navigation support. There is no FADC checkout, booking fee, subscription or payment requirement for these services.

Clinics, healthcare providers and other organizations may have their own eligibility, coverage and fee policies. Confirm those directly with the provider. FADC does not set or collect those third-party fees.

This update does not cancel existing rights or obligations relating to any earlier transaction. Contact hello@findadoctorcanada.ca with a question about an earlier record.

13. Contacting our support team

Use Get Help or email hello@findadoctorcanada.ca for free navigation support. Provide an email address you control so we can follow up. There is no appointment or paid-call requirement.

Support is not continuously staffed and is not for emergencies or urgent medical matters. We may keep private service notes as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not record calls unless we disclose this and obtain consent where required.

Please communicate respectfully. We may end an interaction or restrict misuse if someone is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, fraudulent or seeking help outside our scope.

14. AI, Automation, Search Tools, and Generated Content

The Website may include AI-assisted tools, search tools, automated summaries, clinic status indicators, scraped or aggregated information, or other automated features. These tools may produce incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or inappropriate results.

AI or automated output is not medical advice, clinical triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, legal advice, or a guarantee of availability. You must verify important information directly with official sources, clinics, providers, or qualified professionals before relying on it.

The Get Help conversation currently provides human support and offline messaging; it does not currently provide AI-generated chat replies. Any future AI participant will be clearly identified, with relevant information-handling disclosures before use. AI must not be mistaken for a clinician or a human staff member.

15. Accounts, Forms, and Security

Some features may require you to submit contact information, create an account, complete a form, or receive email confirmations. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it if it changes.

You are responsible for activity under your account, email address, device, or support information. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account, information, or conversation has been accessed without authorization.

We cannot guarantee that the Website, email, forms or third-party tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, malware, or unauthorized access.

Get Help may reconnect the same browser to a saved conversation using a secure session cookie. On a shared device, take care that another person cannot view your conversation. Closing the panel or ending a chat does not delete stored records. Connections and email delivery can fail; check for a receipt before assuming a message was received. You can contact hello@findadoctorcanada.ca for follow-up or a privacy request.

Full conversation transcripts are not emailed automatically. If you request a copy, we may verify your identity before releasing it. Visitor-visible chat history excludes private staff notes; privacy access requests are handled separately under applicable requirements.

16. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Website or Services. You must not:

• use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, harassing, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, misleading, or exploitative purposes;
• submit false clinic updates, fake reports, spam, malicious forms, or misleading information;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, extract, reproduce, republish, or use Website data at scale without our prior written permission;
• reverse engineer, bypass, disable, or interfere with Website security, rate limits, forms, support systems, servers, databases, or availability;
• attempt to access non-public systems, admin areas, user accounts, staff accounts, databases, source code, API endpoints, or data without authorization;
• use the Website to train AI models, build competing databases, or commercially resell or redistribute our directory, tools, templates, or content without written permission;
• upload malware, scripts, bots, automated requests, or content designed to disrupt or manipulate the Website;
• use the Website to make medical, clinical, emergency, or life-safety decisions without consulting qualified professionals.

17. Intellectual Property

The Website, including its design, branding, names, logos, text, tools, templates, guides, graphics, interface, directories, database structure, selection, arrangement, look and feel, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Find A Doctor Canada and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

You may use the Website and free resources for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, resell, republish, copy, scrape, distribute, modify, translate, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit the Website or its resources without our written permission, except where permitted by law or expressly allowed by us.

The names, logos, and marks of third-party clinics, providers, government bodies, health authorities, directories, or services belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on the Website does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

18. Privacy and Personal Information

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. Please review the Privacy Policy before using the Website or Services.

We aim to collect only information reasonably needed to operate the Website and Services, such as contact forms, reports, alert signups, communications, and free support requests.

Do not provide unnecessary sensitive personal information or personal health information through the Website, including health card numbers, diagnoses, detailed medical history, prescriptions, lab results, full dates of birth, or other sensitive details unless we specifically request it for a clearly stated purpose.

If you submit personal information about someone else, you represent that you have authority or consent to do so. We may delete, restrict, or refuse to process information that appears unnecessary, sensitive, unsafe, or outside the scope of our Services.

19. Disclaimers

The Website and all content, listings, tools, forms, reports, downloads, alerts, search results, AI outputs, free navigation support, and third-party links are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, representations, guarantees, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, security, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation.

We do not guarantee that you will find a doctor, clinic, nurse practitioner, pediatrician, specialist, appointment, waitlist, referral, health service, official resource, or specific outcome through the Website or Services.

No information on the Website or provided through the Services should be treated as medical advice, legal advice, insurance advice, emergency advice, or a substitute for professional judgment.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find A Doctor Canada and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, assistants, agents, affiliates, service providers, payment processors, licensors, and suppliers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, aggravated, or other damages arising from or related to your access to, use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Website or Services.

This includes damages arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated clinic information; delayed care; missed appointments; inability to access a provider; reliance on alerts; reliance on AI or automated tools; third-party websites; user reports; navigation support; technical issues; data loss; security incidents; unauthorized access; or decisions made based on Website content.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total cumulative liability to you for all claims will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for an earlier transaction giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim; or (b) CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including non-waivable rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

21. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Find A Doctor Canada and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, assistants, agents, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:

• your use or misuse of the Website or Services;
• your violation of these Terms or any applicable law;
• your submissions, reports, updates, or content;
• your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, or publicity rights;
• your reliance on Website information without verifying it with appropriate official or professional sources.

22. Suspension, Termination, and Refusal of Service

We may suspend, restrict, refuse, or terminate your access to the Website or Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk, abused a feature, submitted false information, threatened staff, attempted unauthorized access, or used the Website improperly.

24. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, unless another jurisdiction is required by applicable consumer protection law.

Subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law, any dispute related to these Terms, the Website, or the Services will be handled in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before starting a formal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@findadoctorcanada.ca and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally, unless urgent relief is required or applicable law says otherwise.

25. General Legal Terms

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, restructuring, or operation of the Website.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable feature-specific notices, form the entire agreement between you and Find A Doctor Canada regarding your use of the Website and Services.
