1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

In these Terms, “Find A Doctor Canada,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Find A Doctor Canada, an independent Canadian information and navigation resource operating the Website at https://findadoctorcanada.ca. “You” or “user” means any person who accesses or uses the Website or Services.

Find A Doctor Canada is not a medical clinic, physician office, nurse practitioner clinic, hospital, health authority, government agency, regulator, insurer, emergency service, telemedicine platform, health advice line, or medical referral service.

We do not employ, supervise, credential, verify, recommend, endorse, control, or guarantee any doctor, nurse practitioner, clinic, provider, health authority, hospital, directory, booking platform, or third-party resource listed or referenced on the Website.

Any reference to a clinic, provider, province, health authority, service category, care type, specialty, waitlist, or public resource is provided for information and navigation purposes only and does not mean that we have a partnership, endorsement, approval, agency relationship, or affiliation with that third party.

3. No Medical Advice, No Triage, and No Patient-Provider Relationship

The Website and Services are for general informational, organizational, and navigation purposes only. They do not provide medical advice, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, triage, prescriptions, referrals, medical opinions, or emergency support.

Do not ignore, delay, or avoid seeking professional medical advice or emergency care because of anything you read or receive through the Website or Services.

Using the Website, submitting a form, receiving an email, using an AI or automated tool, or booking a paid call does not create a doctor-patient, nurse-patient, therapist-patient, fiduciary, advisory, agency, or professional relationship with Find A Doctor Canada.

4. Eligibility and Use by Minors

The Website is intended for use by adults in Canada or by adults assisting family members or people in their care. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you may use the Website only with involvement and permission from a parent or legal guardian.

• A care-type or specialty tag, including “Family Doctor,” “Pediatrician,” “Children’s Health,” “Women’s Health,” “Virtual Care,” “Nurse Practitioner,” or similar wording, is based on available source information and may not reflect full eligibility, scope, availability, or current services.
• A last-checked date or confidence indicator means only that information was reviewed or categorized at a certain time using the available information. It does not mean the information remains current.

6. No Guarantee of Doctor, Clinic, Waitlist, Appointment, or Outcome

Find A Doctor Canada does not guarantee that you will find a family doctor, nurse practitioner, pediatrician, specialist, clinic, appointment, waitlist, referral, health service, or specific result through the Website or Services.

Provider and clinic availability is outside our control. Clinics and providers make their own decisions about whether to accept new patients, maintain waitlists, respond to inquiries, require forms, provide services, charge fees, or change their procedures.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to contact, use, book with, or rely on any clinic, provider, service, website, health authority, or third-party resource.

7. Third-Party Websites, Tools, Maps, and Resources

The Website may link to clinic websites, government websites, health authority websites, third-party directories, maps, forms, booking platforms, virtual care providers, pharmacies, community resources, settlement services, or other third-party websites and tools.

Third-party websites and services are not controlled by Find A Doctor Canada. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, availability, fees, policies, eligibility rules, booking systems, service quality, or outcomes.

Your use of third-party websites or services is at your own risk and may be governed by their own terms, policies, privacy notices, consent forms, and payment rules.

8. User Reports, Clinic Updates, and Community Submissions

By submitting information, you represent and warrant that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to provide it, and that your submission does not violate any law or third-party rights.

You agree not to submit:

You grant Find A Doctor Canada a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, store, analyze, and distribute your submission for the purpose of operating, improving, verifying, and displaying Website content and Services, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Email Alerts, Newsletters, and Electronic Communications

If you sign up for doctor availability alerts, waitlist alerts, newsletters, resource updates, booking confirmations, or similar communications, you agree to receive electronic communications from Find A Doctor Canada related to your selected province, city, care type, specialty tags, Website activity, bookings, purchases, or updates.

Where required, we will seek your consent before sending commercial electronic messages. We will identify ourselves in our communications and provide an unsubscribe mechanism for marketing or alert emails where required by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing or alert emails using the unsubscribe link or instructions in the message. Some administrative or transactional messages may still be sent where necessary, such as booking confirmations, payment receipts, security notices, service updates, responses to your inquiries, or legal notices.

Alerts are not real-time medical notices, emergency alerts, guaranteed availability notices, or official clinic communications. An alert may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, filtered, blocked, sent to spam, or based on information that changes after the alert is sent. The Website may provide free or paid tools, guides, scripts, clinic call trackers, decision guides, templates, checklists, worksheets, email drafts, letters, and downloadable resources.

These resources are for general navigation, education, and organization only. You are responsible for reviewing, adapting, and verifying any script, checklist, form, email, letter, or template before using it.

We do not guarantee that a clinic, provider, agency, government body, school, employer, insurer, or other organization will accept, respond to, or act on any script, template, form, checklist, or letter.

11. Paid Services, Booked Calls, and Navigation Support

The Website may offer paid navigation services, booked calls, toolkits, subscriptions, or other paid products. Unless we clearly state otherwise, all paid services are limited to general navigation support, organization, education, and help identifying publicly available resources.

Paid services may include help organizing a doctor search, preparing clinic questions, understanding public clinic-search options, reviewing available province or city resources, and identifying possible next steps. Paid services do not include medical advice, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral, physician matching, guaranteed appointment booking, guaranteed waitlist access, legal advice, insurance advice, tax advice, social work advice, counselling, crisis support, or emergency assistance.

By booking or purchasing a paid service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• you are purchasing navigation and information support only;
• we cannot guarantee that any clinic, doctor, nurse practitioner, provider, waitlist, health authority, or third party will accept you, respond to you, or provide services;
• you remain responsible for contacting clinics, confirming information, attending appointments, seeking medical care, and making decisions with qualified professionals;
• we may refuse, cancel, reschedule, limit, or refund a booking where the request is outside our scope, unsafe, abusive, fraudulent, or inappropriate for our Services;
• if you raise a medical emergency, urgent medical concern, or crisis issue during a call, we may stop the call and direct you to call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, contact 811 where available, or contact another appropriate professional resource.

12. Booking, Payment, Cancellation, Rescheduling, Refunds, and No-Shows

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Taxes, processing fees, or other charges may be added where applicable. Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe, and your payment may also be subject to their terms, privacy notices, and security practices.

Booking times are subject to availability and may be shown in the applicable time zone stated during booking, currently America/Toronto unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for selecting the correct time, providing accurate contact information, and being available at the scheduled time.

Unless a different policy is shown at checkout or booking, the following rules apply:

• You may request to reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled call, subject to availability.
• Cancellation or refund requests made at least 24 hours before a scheduled call may be approved at our discretion or as required by law.
• Cancellations, reschedule requests, missed calls, late arrivals, incorrect phone numbers, or no-shows within 24 hours of the scheduled call may be non-refundable.
• If we cancel a paid booking and cannot reasonably reschedule, we will refund the amount paid for that booking unless the cancellation resulted from your breach of these Terms.
• If you are late, unavailable, provide an incorrect phone number, fail to answer, or cannot complete the call due to issues on your side, the call may still be considered completed or forfeited.
• Refunds, if approved, will usually be issued to the original payment method. Payment processor fees may be non-refundable where permitted by law.

You agree not to make false payment claims, misuse chargebacks, or attempt to obtain services without payment. We may suspend future bookings or access where payment abuse, fraud, or misuse is suspected.

13. Phone Calls, Contact Information, and Communications During Bookings

For phone-based bookings, we may call the phone number you provide during booking. You are responsible for providing a correct, reachable phone number and ensuring you can receive the call at the scheduled time.

Calls are not intended for emergency or urgent medical matters. We may document administrative notes about your call for service, quality, and recordkeeping purposes. We do not record calls unless we disclose this and obtain consent where required by law.

You agree to communicate respectfully with our staff, contractors, assistants, and representatives. We may end a call or refuse future service if you are abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, fraudulent, or seeking services outside our scope.

14. AI, Automation, Search Tools, and Generated Content

The Website may include AI-assisted tools, search tools, automated summaries, clinic status indicators, scraped or aggregated information, or other automated features. These tools may produce incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or inappropriate results.

AI or automated output is not medical advice, clinical triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, legal advice, or a guarantee of availability. You must verify important information directly with official sources, clinics, providers, or qualified professionals before relying on it.

15. Accounts, Forms, and Security

No information on the Website or provided through the Services should be treated as medical advice, legal advice, insurance advice, emergency advice, or a substitute for professional judgment.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find A Doctor Canada and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, assistants, agents, affiliates, service providers, payment processors, licensors, and suppliers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, aggravated, or other damages arising from or related to your access to, use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Website or Services.

This includes damages arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated clinic information; delayed care; missed appointments; inability to access a provider; reliance on alerts; reliance on AI or automated tools; third-party websites; user reports; paid services; payment processing; technical issues; data loss; security incidents; unauthorized access; or decisions made based on Website content.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total cumulative liability to you for all claims will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the specific paid service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim; or (b) CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including non-waivable rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

21. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Find A Doctor Canada and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, assistants, agents, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:

• your use or misuse of the Website or Services;
• your violation of these Terms or any applicable law;
• your submissions, reports, updates, or content;
• your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, or publicity rights;
• your reliance on Website information without verifying it with appropriate official or professional sources.

22. Suspension, Termination, and Refusal of Service

25. General Legal Terms

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, restructuring, or operation of the Website.
