How the Access Pressure Score works

The score summarizes the mix of current approved public clinic statuses in FADC. A higher number means a larger share of eligible records are waitlisted or not accepting; a lower number means more of the eligible records are marked accepting.

Plain-language calculation100 × (not accepting records + half of waitlist records) ÷ all eligible current records

Only approved records

Draft, rejected and inactive clinic listings do not contribute to the public score.

90-day freshness window

Statuses older than 90 days are excluded from scoring and reported separately as stale.

Waitlists count halfway

An open waitlist indicates constrained access, but it is not weighted as heavily as not accepting.

No invented score

If a region has no eligible current records, it is grey and labelled insufficient current data.
