I found it useful to keep a dated list of every clinic or program contacted, including whether the answer was accepting, waitlist or not accepting.

I saved confirmation numbers and copies of forms so I could follow up without starting over

Ask whether the clinic accepts online forms, phone intake or both, and when the information was last updated.

Call before travelling because intake status and hours can change quickly.
