How we create and maintain health-navigation information

Find A Doctor Canada publishes independent, practical information about finding and navigating primary care in Canada. Our articles are educational and are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, medical opinion or substitute for care from a regulated health professional.

Research and source standards

Writers and editors prioritize official provincial and territorial health authorities, government programs, regulated professional bodies, public health agencies and established community organizations. City guides are checked against the relevant provincial attachment registry or waitlist, local care pathways, provincial health line and emergency guidance.

Review and updates

Every guide displays its publication date and last updated date. Evergreen guides are reviewed when programs, contact details or eligibility rules change and on a recurring editorial schedule. A source-check date appears on each article. Material corrections are made promptly.

Independence and corrections

Editorial decisions are separate from promotional placement. If you find an error, contact hello@findadoctorcanada.ca with the article URL and the information that should be reviewed. We verify the report against authoritative sources before updating the page.
